Some sit along highways we travel every day. Others are tucked behind an exit we’ve passed a hundred times without giving it a second thought.
The Town You Passed was created to find the stories hiding in those places.
We explore small towns, forgotten communities, historic landmarks, roadside stops, local legends and the people who helped shape them. Sometimes the story is preserved in an old building. Sometimes it survives through a local legend. And sometimes you have to take the road everyone else passes to find it.
This isn’t just about Indiana. Our journey may begin close to home, but there are thousands of towns across America with stories worth telling.
Some are thriving. Some are fading. Some have nearly disappeared.
But every one of them left something behind.
